Daddy

This is really late but oh well...better late than never.

This year we made Jon a book for father's day. I asked the girls questions and wrote their answers down in his book. I loved hearing in their own words all about their daddy. I think that my favorite answer was Molly's when I asked her what daddy does. I was anticipating her saying work but instead she told me throw me in the trashcan. Ok, to clarify Jon did pretend to throw Molly in the trashcan quite some time ago...she thought it was so funny. I had forgotten all about him doing that until Molly reminded me. The girls adore Jon. I love it. As soon as the garage door opens up they usually run around screaming and jump all over him.

Growing up I spent a lot of time thinking about the kind of man I wanted to marry...I knew I wanted to marry Jon when I was in high school...I didn't think a lot about the kind of father I wanted for my children but boy did I luck out. Not only is he a great husband but also a wonderful father for our children. I love watching how caring and protective he is of our girls. I love listening in on his conversations with the girls at bedtime. I love to watch the way he and Cora share a smile and a laugh. Happy Fathers Day Jon! We love you!!

Cora Renee Harding

Ok...this is way way way late but oh well....
Our family has grown from 4 to 5! Cora Renee Harding was born March 11, 2011 at 10:59 pm. The past 4 months have gone by so fast. I love watching Cora grow and interact with her big sisters.
She is such a joy to have and I thank God for all my girls.

Ok..not the best I have ever looked but keep in mind it was a natural birth and late at night...I love the joy captured in this picture!

Treasure Walk

When we go on walks in our neighborhood the girls always find lots of things they want to take home with them. They come home with pockets full of rocks, flowers, and bugs. I decided that today I would let them get whatever they wanted as long as it fit in a sandwich bag. They loved it!
We had some of our neighbor friends join us!

Mommy Scrapes

So last night I was giving Cora a much needed bath. I guess my shirt wasn't quite covering my lower back while I bent down to get her out. Audrey reached over and started rubbing my back. She asked me in a very concerned voice why I had scrapes all over my back. I told her I was fine. She told me that if I got a good nights sleep they would all go away...if only stretch marks were that easy to get rid of. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I didn't use to have all of those scrapes before I got pregnant with her. It really made me feel great about myself. Oh well, I wouldn't trade those scrapes for any of my girls....however I may be investing in some of those miracle stretch mark eraser creams. Anyone know of any that actually work? =)

Me at just about my due date with Cora. I felt huge. Believe it or not this is smaller than I was with Audrey. It is amazing how much your body can change during a pregnancy.
